Production stopped around 1850 and the distillery fell into disrepair. In 1872 only ruins remained. Plans for a new distillery not far from the site of the old facility only emerged in 2011. Whiskey production started in January 2013. Wolfburn Langskip matured in ex bourbon casks for an unspecified amount of time. Bottled with a strong 58 vol. % alcohol,
