It is limited by the number of artifacts you control, which you need to tap for its activated ability, but I think thats an excellent design constraint to keep things from getting too degenerate

The more common mechanic for red is to exile cards, allowing you to play them for a limited time
It also has an interesting synergy with an old Tool card, Protection Cube, though Im not sure this inclusion is warranted
It's slow and clunky, but there's enough happening that I think it at least warrants a look
