At face value, Willbender can aim a removal spell targeting one of your creatures right back at someone else's, which saves one of your creatures and removes an opposing threat

You also get hexproof and a bonus untap on your creatures for a turn, which can blank incoming removal or let you reuse tap abilities

The one disadvantage the Gold Dragon has is that 3 toughness can die to a whole lot of things, but I still think the combination here is quite nice, though probably not quite a bomb

These work well on your own creatures and on your opponents' as long as you control Eriette

But then I think about the larger picture, do I want to see Cloud Strife being gifted a sword from Nahiri the Lithomancer
