Pose and color choice are the main ways these cards set themselves apart, and this version is surprisingly low on the totem pole
Their cards initially concealed key information regarding typing and energy, but it has since been revealed the Pokmon Scarlet and Violet Legendaries will keep their primary typings from the games: Electric and Fighting
It has even managed to thaw and burrow its way into my cold, cold heart
Sure, I can just use the cards, but if this can get folded into Scion of Draco rainbow decks in Modern, even out of the sideboard, that exiles a meaningful amount of their deck
It does still see some play in Legacy, in Death and Taxes or Stoneblade, although it's not as much of a staple as it used to be a few years ago, to the point where some Stoneblade lists don't bother to run it at all
