While a player wants to destroy/exile an opponent's Planeswalker and spends resources to do so and their opponent dedicates resources to protecting it, the roles are reversed with Battles, as its controller wants to dedicate resources with attack and damage their permanent, while the opponent must prevent its counters from being reduced to zero in order not to deal with a greater threat
In the end I didnt think it was worth modifying the code to enable bulk imports from scryfall, but I was able to use local files as URLs by rehosting the page on my local machine
More importantly, giving -1/-1 to the creatures until end of turn instead of one damage will make combat easier on your side against creatures that have more than one toughness
