Wonderful Old Native American Carved Polychrome Totem Pole, Presumed Nootka decorative pillowcases and a sculptural piece ofThe patina on this beautifully carved small totem pole is fantastic, and the painting really wonderful, done in a relatively reserved palette of red, blue and black, with pale yellow for the dots on the wings of the eagle and sides of the figure below. I am not at all an expert, but believe this is most likely by a Nootka (Nuu chah nulth) carver from the SW Coast of Vancouver Island, and mostly likely dates to the earlyish 20th century.
