where one tried to land him in a basket or hole--and it does look like he's been tossed around a bunch

The two blades pull all of the way out and then close back up with ease and stay tight

I assume it's a big dog that accompanies our boy with double headed axe on his raft as he sails down the river, though those black ears look rather like horns! I love that it is blue, whatever the case, and especially love the three little figures left ashore, who seem to hold axes as well, so perhaps were coworkers from whom our boy is fleeing they sure seem far away now!
