Carved of lead I believe, with a bit of depth to it, rounded edges, and detailed on both sides with ears and eyes and brows. For me it's the profile that really really makes it, with this great domed brow, super pointy long nose and prominent chin. Plus an intensity of tiny carve marks all over.
