This carving though--carved from the vertebrae of what type of animal I  am not sure--does not seem an easy fit for either category

or to use daily around the house

they are divided into two suits: civil and military

Photographing it under magnification I realized it is marked Czechoslovakia on one side near the tip

I just can't not rescue things like this, which just need a cutout figure to put them into play again, or would be lovely together in a frame.
