FWC's 1939 Greenport School Doggy Doorstop with Very Crazy Face painted icon late 19th or very early

late 19th or very early 20th century I believe

which I think may have lived within it for nearly 200 years

The wire on the backside it strong and a bit of a challenge bend as desired

With a small hole in the belly and two in the back into which a dowel would be stuck in order to make the doll dance (and those shoes are good for clomping)

and scribbled a few other things on it as well

Quite a face. And is that a black tongue flapping down, or ? The work of a young FWC in 1939 of Greenport School (Long Island?), who looks to have been in the 17th grade! 8 1 4" t x 6 5 8" w x 4 3 8" d and in good, very sturdy and sound condition. Great surface, very sweet.
