The whole piece is exceptionally well carved with extraordinary attention to detail throughout

The rectangular top opens to reveal a candle box within which sits a key

The enamel panel is in an excellent condition throughout

Working lock and key present for both sections of the bookcase and three of the four folio compartments (note the bottom right folio cupboard does not lock)

but otherwise remains in a  good condition
