I painted my own pet parakeets (budgies) in a bamboo bird cage. The potted blue hydrangea and pink peonies are also inspired by my backyard garden. I would feel a little guilty to trap a bird in a cage, if not for the fact that my current pet bird loves being in her cage, and won't come out! She spends all day singing and tweeting happily, and loves her bird bath (not pictured!). My chinoiserie
