The timepiece is marked 'L'Epee' to the dial and the inside rear is marked 'Made in France

Harrogate' to the underside of one of the drawers - a firm which included Queen Mary among their patrons

and has a later additional fitting to ensure the security of the plate

Louis XV Style Carved Beech Foot Stool, c.1900 18th Century Depth: 42cmA late 19th century early 20th century carved beech stool in the Louis XV style, c. 1900. The waisted rectangular seat has a rough stuffed hessian seat raised upon carved cabriole supports terminating in peg feet. Historic tack marks from previous upholstery visible to the edges. Attractive in its present condition, yet ready for re upholstery if preferred. Small tear to the underside material and some light where to extremities commensurate with age.
