The paper label on the jointed, slide lid box here reads Goodyear Rapid Needles, Manufactured for the United Shoe Machinery Co, Boston, by Excelsior Needle Co, which a little research helps me date to right around 1890. But of course it is the handmade wooden dice I really love, in a variety of sizes, some with dots marked in ink, some graphite, and there
