I would use this gorgeous slab-formed studio pottery plate/platter/tray for serving anything and everything

not chips or cracks

with the letter and numbers I assume referring to the bottle type (and there are more handwritten notations on the back side

which has clearly lived in the frame for a long time and I think may date to the 18th century--cut exactly to its crest shape and backed with a tapestry type woven fabric

This is a "toy" watercolor set, meaning the blocks are smaller than full scale in size, I believe dating the 1850s 60s,
