Carved and gilded trumeau mirror c. 1740 rare the builder of Castle DrogoTrumeau mirror looking glass overmantel carved in a restrained rococo manner, the bottom edge of which is identical to a trumeau from Clyne Castle in South Wales shown by Biggs of Maidenhead at the Grosvenor House Fair in 1962. That trumeau was sold in 1952 through Astley Samuel, Leeder and Son, where Biggs is thought to have purchased it.
