I just double checked and it was in 1910 that engineer Nathaniel Baldwin invented the first pair of audio headphones resembling modern day pairs (at his kitchen table)

brass wire beautifully wraps both the horizontally running bristles that form the handle and attached bunches of bristles that hang down perpendicularly

just amazed by the fineness of their incised decoration

but it also might have been the all purpose go-to for all sorts off mixing and stirring

it was made by Arthur Armour (1908-1998)

The bird, flowers and branch were outlined in pencil, then painted in soft blue, green, ochre and pink. Serene but very cheerful and just lovely. Done on lined paper, with an embossed mark at lower right. It appears to be fairly newly
